Works with Parallax/Magnetek model 6345, WFCO model 8945, and Parallax models 7345 and 8345.This converter is excellent, as is the customer service. I had some confusion about the wiring, which the etrailer tech was not able to address. He gave me the manufacturer contact, who spotted my problem from a quick picture of my install. With that corrected, the unit has been running without issue for over a month now. I replaced a 32-year-old converter and the first thing I noticed is that the lights have gone from dim/depressing to bright and cheery. I'm so glad I bought this unit from etrailer rather than the one made in China from [online].

I am happily giving the replacement power converter section from etrailer.com a 5-Star excellent rating. The original power converter in our 1999 RV was in need of replacement (Yes - should have done it a long time ago). At etrailer.com I was able to find the needed replacement section. The unit arrived well packaged accompanied with clear and concise instructions for removal of the old and installation of the new. When ordering the unit, customer service (Will), was knowledgeable and courteous and assured me that I could call with questions if needed during the replacement work.

I have very little experience with electrical systems. I was able to remove my old charger/converter and install this one mostly by the directions. I did call the manufacturer and they answered an installation question I had very promptly.
So far everything works great again!
The Progressive Dynamics Replacement works great and did not take very long to replace, my brother-in-law had gotten one and told me about it and was pleased with it and now so am I with mine
Works great. It took care of our clicking refig problem. Very difficult install as our fuse wires and negative battery were short. Took both of us 5 hours as inexperienced installers. Saved us lots of money for labor though. Worth the struggle.
I ordered a replacement converter (Item PD4645V) to replace the original one that was no longer charging the batteries properly. It arrived quickly, and was well packaged, so arrived in good shape.
We didn't realize that the converter had failed at first. We were gone for a month and came back to find that the refrigerator was not working. We had to clean out the moldy messy remains of the food we had left in the freezer. and were about ready to replace the refrigerator, but noticed that the 12 volt lighting system did not work. We discovered that the 12 volt batteries were dead, so we replaced them.
The refrigerator worked for a while, then quit. That led us to check the charging voltage, and found that the converter was not working.
After some evaluation, we found that the refrigerator needs 12 volt power to run, and this comes from batteries or the converter.
I'm a bit embarrassed to admit that, even though I'm an electrical engineer, it took a while to figure out what was going on.
Replacing the converter solved the problem, and was much less expensive and easier than replacing the refrigerator. I suspect that many people have gone to the trouble of replacing the refrigerator before finding out that the problem was actually the 12 volt converter that had failed, not the refrigerator.
The instructions were great, and clearly showed how to remove the old unit and install the new one.
I am happy with the new converter, which has been running fine for the past 4 months. I haven't had it long enough to check to see if it prolongs the life of our new batteries. However, I've found that the multi-stage charging process the new converter uses is an improvement on older fixed voltage battery chargers/converters.
By the way, I tried getting by "on the cheap" so to speak, by trying to use an inexpensive 10 amp "smart" battery charger to keep the 12 volt system going. However, It couldn't keep up with the power draw that the refrigerator and other appliances needed, even though nobody was staying there.

After more than a year of continuous use, the converter is still working fine, and keeping the batteries in good shape. Im very happy with it.
Well, the unit only lasted 15 months before a short circuit developed on the converter board. worked fine every time I used it and installation instructions adequate but after parking RV for a couple weeks I came back to this unit shorting out on the board. I'm writing this review because Progressive Dynamics has been EXCELLENT to deal with in this warranty matter but even if out of warranty I fully believe this company would assist you. Very refreshing to deal with a company that actually contacts you back in a timely manner and rectifies the problem.
The product showed up in good time and was packed very good. Haven’t been able to install it yet but I’m sure I can get assistance from this co. If needed. Thanks for a job well done!
I Installed this in a Winnebago View 2009 and it is keeping my Lithium iron phosphate batterys charged up very well.

Arrived in great shape. Kaleigh H. Did an outstanding job helping me with what I needed. No pics. No room at all to do job. If you have basic knowledge of ac and dc currant not real bad to change out. I did reuse the dc fuse block. Made it much eaiser.

Just fine and dandy
Replacement Converter for Parallax 7245. Relatively easy swap out, took a few hours taking my time. Like many old timers have told me, usually vehicle electric problems are with grounds. This held true with my charging system on my RV. I purchased this charge Wizard because I don’t want to cook my batteries and I had some odd charging issues going on. After installing the Converter, I still wasn’t getting full charge voltage at batteries, I found a corroded positive terminal block and a ground lug that was partially melted under the Rv. I crimped on a few new terminals and gave the system a good ground and all is good now, getting 14.3 volts at battery charging at boost and ramps down accordingly. I no longer have to worry about cooking my battery to death with the charge Wizard! I’m sure I will recover my Converter costs in just battery replacements alone.
It runs well, stays a lot cooler than the old converter, it's a lot quieter, it's easier to install than I would have thought, the fuse box is very nice and if a fuse blows it has a red light right above it that makes it easy to find,

Been using this new power distribution setup for a year now and it is working very well. It is quieter than the original 20yo unit. My old one had not failed, but this was a good purchase for a bit of pre-emptive maintenance.

Just what I needed
Excellent fit. Very pleased with the fact that offered product was indeed a very good fit for my old unit.
New unit went in with no problems. Started out concerned that leads were too short, wound up my concerns were unfounded as all wiring fit well. Although I did take the time to tin the battery leads from the new converter.
Overall, extremely satisfied.

Exactly what I needed and quick delivery. The website had all the info needed to make an accurate and confident decision. The installation instructions were precise and easy to follow. Some of the print was small for these old eyes but it was easy to pull a pdf copy and expand the print. Problem solved. This is my second purchase and I have been very pleased both times.
